This cosy croft house boasts spectacular hillside views over the Sound of Raasay towards the Island of Rona and the mountains of Torridon. Dating from the 1870s, it offers year round holiday accommodation and is delightfully refurbished. Sand and shingle beach, 2 miles. Nearby there are boat trips to the Outer Hebrides and two lovely restaurants to enjoy. It stands alone in its own unspoilt ¼-acre grounds, with views and a sitting-out area, half a mile from the coast. It is ideally placed to appreciate an abundance of wildlife, dramatic scenery, walking, fishing and challenging climbing. Shops 2 miles, pub 7 miles.
Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. First floor: 2 double bedrooms, one with additional single, both with sloping ceilings.
Open fire in living room (initial fuel inc). NSH, elec heaters and elec by £1 meter. Bed linen inc. Stereo. Elec cooker. M/wave. W/machine. Payphone. Enclosed ¼-acre grounds. Parking (2 cars).

1st comment: Good experience although cold and wet weather on some days. Take plenty of pound coins for electricity meter and a firelighter or two. Oct 2011.

The fire kept the whole house warm and the house, very traditional in style, had a lovely friendly feel.
