Customer Reviews of Riverside Cottage, Staffin Isle of Skye - Sleeps 2
st comment: Excellent quiet location surrounded by breathtaking scenery, located in the most scenic part of the island. If you enjoy walking, fantastic scenery, mountain climbing and historic sights then this is the holiday for you. Sept 2011.
nd comment: Fantastic location on the north end of the Trotternish Peninsular. Great walking nearby as well as fantastic views from the cottage. A very warm welcome from Iain, the owner. Lovely cottage, simple but well decorated and well-equipped. Lovely fire in the lounge for cosy evenings in. Ideal for a romantic break and exploring the delights of wonderful Skye. Sept 2011.
rd comment: Riverside is a lovely, basic rural cottage. Cattle and sheep graze to the property boundary fence. It is essentially, a cottage on a croft in a crofting community. It is not elegant but we were not looking for elegance. For us as a couple with no children this was a perfect spot. Riverside was clean, tidy and cosy with an open fire that was laid on our arrival. The owner, was very helpful and welcoming and met us upon our arrival and made sure we were comfortable. We had an active holiday and so did not spend much of the daytime at Riverside but for someone seeking the quiet, seclusion and peacefulness of a writer’s retreat, Riverside would be perfect. Riverside provided all the basics and provided all that we needed for a lovely week on Skye. There is even a freezer and a washer dryer. We would recommend a sight seeing, local history and or fishing trip from Staffin with Sandy of Staffin Bay Cruising and Fishing. Aug 2011.
th comment: A lovely cosy cottage, away from it all (but not too out of the way to reach amenities and explore Skye). The cottage has a beautiful outlook, with views across to the Quirang from the kitchen, and it is a great spot for watching wildlife and farmlife. The owner is friendly and helpful, respecting your privacy but around if you need anything. The Troternish Penisular on which the cottage is located is a great area for walking and wildlife spotting. We loved this cottage, had a fantastic holiday and would heartily recommend it! June 2011.
