This traditional stone built cottage dates back to the mid 1800's and was originally the Post Office for the village. Set back off the main road, the cottage is in the heart of the small village from where visitors can enjoy peaceful walks surrounded by unspoilt scenery. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife in the area which has a beautiful coastline with safe sandy beaches and coves. Picturesque Gruinard Bay nearby is popular with artists and photographers. The road south passes through magnificent scenery to the famous Inverewe Gardens (9 miles) and on to Gairloch which offers boat trips, sailing, golf and a fascinating Heritage Museum. A trip eastwards could take you to Ullapool for the day. Laide itself is a haven of peace and tranquillity for a relaxing break.
The cottage is comfortably furnished in a homely and traditional style. There is a pleasant enclosed grassed garden where chairs are provided for sitting out. Shop, post office and garage nearby, hotel 3 miles.
