Bonnybridge
Bonnybridge in Scotland is a small town in the Falkirk council area. It is situated about 6.5 kilometres towards the western side of Falkirk, Scotland. Bonnybridge is located near the Forth and Clyde canal and the Bonny Water. The well preserved Antonine wall and the remains of Rough Castle Fort, the most complete of the surviving Roman forts are situated towards the south east direction.
This town is known as an industrial area right from the nineteenth century. This town experience a huge development during industrialisation. The prominent industries that were established during this period include paper milling, sawmilling, chemical manufacturing, refractory brick manufacture and whisky distilling.
The establishment of several iron foundries is considered as the important among them. The products from these foundries were transported through the Forth & Clyde Canal to local markets, and to Glasgow for export. This town is well connected by rail routes connecting Edinburgh to Glasgow and the Carlisle to Perth. Well linked by canal and rail links Bonnyfield became the centre of industrial production.

We stayed at the King Robert for one. The room was clean and have adequate facility. This hotel is right next to the Bannockburn Memorial Park near Stirling offered scope for lot of sight seeing. We had a nice stay while our stay in this hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel twice and rate it as one of the best. From the outside it looks like any other Victorian building, but inside it has been transformed into a state of the art modern hotel. The food is quite simply excellent and the staff helpful.
