The Queen Street Café
The best scones and caramel shortcake in town, not to mention excellent value snacks and light meals, served in grand surroundings. No smoking.
Opinion: Located in a secluded corner of the National Portrait Gallery. Purveyors of tasteful light meals, pastries, salads, soups and sandwiches. Good place to go for a grub after a visit to the galleries. The place was under the able hands of Helen Ruthven; even after she has left the place still retains the eye for details laid down by the hostess. Open
