Tigh an Aullt Holiday Cottage, Loch Duich - Sleeps 6

Tigh an Aullt Cottage is approached via one of the most awe inspiring glens in Scotland. Cluanie Glen is rich with colour and home to majestic mountains and stunning lochs. Nestled at the foot of the Five Sisters of Kintail, is our pretty cottage. As the highest cottage in the small village of Ault na Chruinne, Tigh an Aullt has some of the most stunning views.
The cottage is warm and cosy and has been furnished to a high standard giving you the perfect holiday home to relax in after a day exploring the incredible landscape that surrounds the cottage.  
Upon entering the cottage, the first room you encounter is the triple aspect sitting room. The large front windows look over the loch towards Mam Ratagan and the Road to Glenelg while the side windows look across the causeway and loch to the mountains opposite. The sitting room has everything you could wish for with a beautiful open fire and comfortable leather sofas. One end of the sitting room has also been set up to help you see some of the varied wildlife close up. A telescope is provided and if you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of a dolphin or otter.
The modern kitchen is well equipped and a newly fitted gas hob and electric oven will help you rustle up a meal. The breakfast bar is the perfect place to enjoy the early morning sun. A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is ideal for cleaning the kids sandy beach equipment.
There is also a separate dining room with a large pine table. This is a wonderful room for enjoying  family meals or special occasions.
At the end of the hall is the en-suite master bedroom which contains a king-sized bed and has lovely views across the rear garden and towards the Five Sisters of Kintail. The en-suite bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath and built in shower unit. The twin bedroom with views across the front garden and loch is very pretty and ideal for adults or children. The last bedroom contains full sized bunk beds. After a day exploring the area the perfect place to unwind is in the two person Swedish Sauna in the family bathroom. This built in Sauna is a wonderful addition to the cottage. The bathroom also has a bath and separate shower cubicle.
Outside the gardens surrounding the cottage are well sheltered, there is also a patio area for alfresco dining. Many birds visit the garden and nuts are provided to help you attract them to the feeding stations. The most unusual visitor to the garden is the Pine Marten, if you place a little bread and jam on the ground or on the table he will often come and visit, he is even happy when the outside light is on.
Tigh an Aullt Cottage is in a great location with lots of leisure and sporting activities available in the local area. The National Trust rangers on the Kintail Estate are also fantastic for providing guided walks.
An award winning restaurant and pub are only a 1/4 mile away and the shop is 1/2 mile so everything is within easy reach.
A number of the pretty Scotland villages are also a short drive including Plockton, Torridon and Applecross. Skye Bridge is 15 miles away so a day trip to the Scottish Island is a must. For those looking for a little bit of history Eilean Donan Castle and Dornie Village are must see attractions.
