Cosy and comfortable, this little cottage nestles in a quiet charming township, in a lovely landscape close to the sea. Surrounded by open countryside, it has its own sitting-out area by a little burn. The island is rich in wild flowers, abundant wildlife, historic buildings and ruins including a broch, Viking Castle, Bishops’ Palace and former Cathedral of the Isles. This rural location is perfect for walking, cycling, loch and sea fishing. Besides its own well-stocked island shop/P.O., restaurants and shops can be found in Port Appin (a 5-minute passenger ferry trip), which also gives easy access to riding at Lettershuna, sailing at Linnhe Marina and the new golf course at Ballachulish. Shop/P.O. 5 miles.

3rd comment: Very comfortable, good location on the island. The accommodation is excellent for two people and is situated in a small hamlet on the island. From the cottage, it is possible to do numerous walks, which take you to ruined castles and ancient earthworks. July 2009.
