Thistle Lodge, nr Falkirk - Sleeps 3

1st comment: You could not for better hospitality the cottage was perfect in every way, better than some top hotels that I have stayed in. A lovely welcome off the owner, I would recommend this cottage to anyone! March 2012.

4th comment: The property really was amazing. Clean, modern and comfortable. Owners were very helpful. Internet access available in limited locations in lodge (i.e. by the window). Large range of DVD’s, quite recent ones too. Edinburgh has roadworks making driving difficult, Park and Ride is about £6 each, each way. Parking in Edinburgh is not much cheaper. Overall, it was a lovely place. The property is nicer than the photos lead you to believe. Oct 2011.

6th comment: This property is the best we have ever been to. It is in an ideal spot for touring and is very quiet and peaceful. It is very well equipped from washing machine to dvd’s to watch. The owner was extremely friendly and very helpful and there was plenty of tourist information available. Sept 2011.

9th comment: Had a fantastic stay at Thistle Lodge. Good location for visiting different places such as Loch Lomond, Stirling, Falkirk Wheel, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The lodge is immaculate and we looked forward to going back each evening after our days out. Tastefully decorated throughout. Felt like a real "home from home". Our teenage son loved the choice of DVDs and we had a "film night" each evening. Val was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome and definitely went the extra mile providing things such as milk and coffee for when we arrived, along with something a little stronger for the adults! Having stayed at places where you have to pack your car with everything but the kitchen sink we were pleasantly surprised with the level of equipment etc provided. We would recommend this property very highly and look forward to returning in the future. Aug 2011.

10th comment: Lovely cottage, couldn’t ask for anything more. Very comfortable and well equipped. They choice of DVD’s were exceptional with all the latest releases. It is in a good area for visiting Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow with all the Motorways on your door step. May 2011.
