Customer Reviews of The Lodge, Milton of Campsie - Sleeps 3
st comment: A really excellent place to escape the world. Lovely people and very thoughtful. Thank you very much to the owner who made us feel extremely welcome. June 2012.
nd comment: Lovely house, very quiet, good kitchen to work in and have a meal in... I’m a city person and I loved that the house is situated in the middle of a very rural area but close to Glasgow. I will definitely come back. Because it is so very quiet a wifi/computer connection would be very handy. March 2012.
rd comment: The Lodge is well situated just a few minutes from main roads and also Croy station for excellent rail connections. The location is certainly peaceful with plenty of wildlife to be seen. The lodge itself was warm and comfortable and excellent value for money. Nov 2011.
th comment: Excellent escape from stress of work. Only sounds you can hear are wildlife and the babbling brook. Really did not want to leave. Sept 2011.
th comment: A lovely spot, close to both Glasgow and Edinburgh, the western lochs within easy reach. Very quiet location, very pretty cottage. Aug 2011.
th comment: A lovely, quiet and comfortable barn conversion, well away from the road and with nesting swallows. The owners are very helpful, with advice to visitors, who have not visited the area before. July 2011.
th comment: The Lodge is off the road in a country estate and yet only 20 minutes from Glasgow. Easy access also to Edinburgh, Stirling and Loch Lomond. June 2011.
th comment: We recommend this excellent lodge. The view over Glasgow from Earl’s seat and Campsie hills are very impressive. Falkirk Wheel, Flanders Moss and Culross are very interresting. April 2011.
th comment: We were delighted with our holiday, we had stayed before but in a different cottage. The dining room overlooking the garden was a lovely place to sit first thing in the morning, very private and relaxing. The Crown & Anchor do take-away meals - anything fried will be boxed up for you, otherwise take your own plates etc and they will do anything off the menu for you. Enjoy a drink in the bar while you wait then go back to this lovely cottage to enjoy your meal in privacy! March 2011.
