Customer Reviews of Riverbank Cottage, Peebles - sleeps 2/3
st comment: A lovely cottage by the river and right next to town. Ideal for two people and trips to Edinburgh and the surrounding countryside are easy to do. March 2012.
nd comment: Fantastic location, lovely river view. Very quiet even though you are close to town center and shops. Oct 2011.
rd comment: The cottage has everything you need and is clean and comfortable. There is a lovely view of the river and resident ducks from the living room, which is on the first floor of this characterful cottage. We loved the cottage - it was our second stay - and we love Peebles - and we will return. Oct 2011.
th comment: Both my husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Riverbank cottage, situated in the heart of the town, and so convenient for local shops etc. Some previous guests have mentioned the church bells, but we didn’t find them too bothersome. Would certainly consider this cottage for another holiday in the area. Sept 2011.
th comment: This is a delightfully cosy cottage on the banks of Eddleston Water just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Peebles. Simply but comfortably furnished it makes a delightful base for touring the locality. The neighbours are very friendly and the local ducks frequently congregate on the lawn. Some visitors commented adversely on the chiming of the bells from early morning to late evening but we found that they quickly became no more than background sounds. Other than this the cottage is in a delightfully quiet corner. Sept 2011.
th comment: Just a 3 minute stroll from the High street, yet quiet and peaceful with "the cuddy" flowing by the front garden. We enjoyed walks along the river Tweed to Neidpath Castle and further afield. The cottage was cosy and well equipped, including local guidebooks - always appreciated! Particularly suited to early risers as the cathedral bells start up at 7 a.m. even on weekends. July 2011.
