This delightful whitewashed single storey fisherman’s cottage is situated in a quiet backwater just a stone’s throw from the picturesque harbour and beautiful sandy beach of Brora.
An added bonus is a large separate garden that leads down to the sand dunes and beach beyond. From this pretty and unspoilt fishing village there are wonderful walks along this truly spectacular coastline, with a wealth of sea birds. Seals are regularly spotted in the area. The superb golf links at Brora are just a short walk away.
There are many other activities in the area, including sea and loch fishing, riding, cycling and exploring the many places on interest in this beautiful part of Sutherland.

1st comment: Our second visit to Middledrift. The location is perfect if you have dogs... the cottage is lovely and the close proximity of the Sutherland Inn is a bonus... they do lovely food. May 2012.

3rd comment: As a dog friendly cottage Middledrift ticks all the boxes.The enclosed back garden is ideal as a safe retreat for dogs but for walking with or without dogs the location of this lovely cottage is perfect.Out of the front door and in 2 minutes you are on the shore or if the tide is in the footpath is well above the sea and you can walk all the way to Golspie,the next village.The Sutherland Inn is within walking distance and serves lovely home made food.This was a peaceful holiday but with all the amenities you need in close proximity to this charming cottage.We will certainly go again. May 2011.
