Low Shore in Whitehills near Banfff- Sleeps 5
Low Shore (also the name of the road along the front) is a little fisherman's cottage situated on the front at the former fishing village of Whitehills on the north east coastline of Scotland a mile or two to the east of Banff. The position with the back of the house facing the sea makes for wonderful views out of the windows or sat in the little stone set walled patio garden. The upstairs bedroom even features a telescope to help you pick out sea life from the window. The internal design with panelling makes it easy to imagine an old sea-salt returning from herring fishing and putting his feet up before the fire and taking out a pipe and dram of whisky before recounting tales of another ferocious northerly gale in the fishing grounds!
The cottage sleeps five people in three bedrooms, one double, one single, and one ground floor double, as well as a ground floor bathroom.
The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Outside, there's ample roadside parking and a patio with furniture.

This was a charming cottage, set right on the shoreline that had the most amazing view of the North Sea. The cottage was immaculate, very cosy and had everything you would need for an Autumn break in Scotland. Our party ranged in age from 22 to 70 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, there was plenty to do and see in the area, and the roads were excellent and a pleasure to drive. As for Whitehills itself, there is a shop, a pub, a restaurant and a chip shop, all really excellent and all within walking distance. When we could we sat outside and watched the sea, when we couldn't we sat at the dining area and watched the sea whilst reading, and at night we listened to the sea as we fell asleep. Overall a perfect and relaxing holiday, in a perfect cottage.

The cottage is lovely and cosy with everything you need for a fantastic holiday. The position is fabulous, right on the harbour, being able to watch the fishing boats going in and out. We were lucky to spot dolphins swimming past from the kitchen window.
