th comment: Hollyburn was excellent in every way, and the views superb. The neighbour opposite was very kind and gave us free crab legs to enjoy, and everyone very friendly. Highly recommended. Aug 2009.
th comment: Perfect location for exploring a part of Lewis containing the most stunning beaches. The weather during our stay in May was fantastic. As keen cyclists the quiet roads especially on Great Bernera were a delight to use, even Bertie (the dog) thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We will be back. May 2009.
th comment: The cottage is of a high standard, I have stayed in many holiday cottages over the past 25 years but the furnishings were the best I have seen. As it is in a cul-de sac it was also very quiet and peaceful. June 2009.
th comment: The property was very spacious and was very comfortable. The owners & caretaker made us feel very welcome and the cottage had everything we needed. The cottage wasn’t as isolated as we thought it was going to be in terms of a couple of cottages were quite close by, but in its overall setting on the island it did feel as though we were ’in the middle of nowhere’. Overall, a great holiday cottage in a peaceful and quiet rural setting. Dec 2007.
th comment: This was a really exceptional property, in a wonderful location and on a beautiful, wild island. Sitting in the dining room or the lounge and watching a dolphin leaping in the strait, without need for binoculars - that is special. The house was fitted out with everything one could need for comfort and ease of cooking etc. Perfect in every way. Thanks. Sept 2006.
th comment: A proper home from home. Sept 2006.
