Duke’s Cottage is located in the beautiful Stirlingshire town of Aberfoyle, a bustling tourist spot in the heart of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, and an excellent base for sightseeing and outdoor pursuits. The surrounding scenery is magnificent, whatever time of year and there are numerous outdoor activities right on your doorstep. There are numerous local walks and quiet cycles accessible directly from the cottage. A perfect location to enjoy bluebells in the spring, long summer evenings, the famous autumn colours of the Trossachs and bracing winter walks followed by a cosy night by the wood burning stove. 4th comment: We did have a lovely stay at Duke’s Cottage. Very clean, modern and cosy, is the right location for a couple or a small family. A small problem with the TV set was sorted out by owners quick and efficient so we could watch the Royal Wedding in the comfort of our lounge. Overall, a location to come back to some day. 5th comment: We loved the cottage, it was in a perfect location, very close to the shops and the pubs of the quiet village and a great location for all the walking and cycling we wanted to do. Although the cottage looked small it was actually very spacious, and very cosy with the woodburner. It was clean, warm, quiet, cosy and everything had been thought of. We were sad to leave. Feb 2011.

16th Comment It’s location is perfect for seeing all that Scotland has to offer being near to Stirling and both Glasgow and Edinburgh are reasonably close. It’s only a short drive or walk to the mountains, lochs and the waterfall. The area is very tranquil with lovely people. The Cottage itself was perfect, comfortable, cosy and a very homely feel to it. We didn’t want to leave. The perfect holiday retreat. Nov 2008.
