Tastefully renovated, this 200-year-old single-storey, former steading stands wonderfully positioned on the edge of the Highland village of Drumnadrochit, a short walk through an ancient forest to Loch Ness. This lovely property is ideal for couples looking for a peaceful hideaway with facilities within easy walking distance. Drumnadrochit offers visitors exhibitions, cruises, pleasant walking, pony trekking and golf. Castle Urquhart lies two miles away, Inverness 12 miles. Burns Cottage is an ideal touring base for more adventurous walking in Glen Affric, castles, historic villages and wildlife watching including dolphins at Moray. Shop 870 yards, a good food pub is 220 yards with more pubs, restaurants and shops a short walk.

1st comment: This property is off the main road and as such is very quiet, perfect if you want one of those "get away from it all" holidays. We stayed at this property in early November and found that alot of the local pubs / restaurants had closed for the season so bear this in mind when you want to stay. the property is very clean and very well fitted out, in fact it was a nice little, cosy home from home, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again without a problem. Nov 2011.

5th comment: A truly wonderful cottage secluded neatly near the banks of Loch Ness. If you are looking to get away from it all then this is the cottage for you. Peaceful, serene, a fabulous four poster bed and a whirlpool bath will all make for an instantly memorable trip. March 2011.
