Superbly positioned for touring the island itself and the beautiful west coast. Here, ruined castles and ancient brochs pay testament to days gone by. Forget about modern life whilst walking amid such stunning mountain and coastal scenery. The delightful harbour is only a few minutes walk from the door, where visitors can take a boat trip for fishing, or just enjoying the scenery. Shop 200 yards.

9th comment: The cottage was in very easy reach of the centre of Portree, and is in a stunning position with outstanding views. This made shopping and eating out really easy. Skye takes more than a week to see it all, especially if you intend to do a number of walks or climbs! We liked the position with panoramic views over Loch Portree. All the rooms were a good size, with the kitchen being adequate and having everything you need. Aug 2009.
