Guests are welcome to explore and this is a paradise for zoologists, botanists, ornithologists and photographers. Sheltered lawns, outdoor furniture, barbecue and parking are adjacent to the property. Final access is by 1/2 mile of unsurfaced private road.

4 miles along a country road, the little town of Alyth has 3 golf courses as well as good shops and inns and Perth and Dundee are less than an hour's drive. For walkers the renowned Cateran Trail passes through the estate and quiet roads lead into the magnificent scenery of the Perthshire and Angus glens. There is good angling nearby and the Glenshee Ski Area is less than an hour away.
