Aberdeen
Anyone who has been to Aberdeen will tell you two things - the locals are party-daft and, for such a notoriously cold city, there's a bucketload of talent on offer! During term time the students take over the town and this makes for some amazing nights out in the Granite City as the bars and clubs are choc-a-block with people out to enjoy a good time. The best weekends are the stag or hen weekends when you get all the students out blowing their loans on drink, and all the lads come off the oil rigs buying up the bars as well!
Aberdeen stag and hen groups are welcomed with open arms as bars and clubs compete for business and reputation and it's one of those situations where everybody wins. Of course, when a lot of the students leave for summer the locals make sure the weekends count and party hard enough for everyone, and we defy anyone not to be blown away by the hospitality and atmosphere on offer! Aberdeen has great shopping one of the better places being Union Square.
There is plenty of activities on the doorstep and with the Cairngorms only an hour away, crazy activities are never far!
Union Street is the place where all the action is at night with a recently converted church at the top of the street which is renowned for making fantastic cocktails.
Of course Wetherspoon's is also located in the area along side other great well-known bars in the area.
Other spots the nightlife in Aberdeen include Justice Mill Lane, Belmont Street and the harbour and merchant Quarter. Some the best nightclubs include espionage which is on three floors the Priory which is also on three floors and Tiger Tiger is it still open.
