Ben Lomond Ascent
Challenging but absolutely doable ascent of one of Scotland's most southerly Munros with outstanding views. Best enjoyed in autumn for the riot of colour below
Various routes exist (details at visitor centre at Rowarden Car Park in Luss). The routes range in difficulty from an arduous but rewarding ascent to the summit of Ben Lomond, to the leisurely Ardess Hidden History Trail - a low-level walk the whole family can enjoy. You can pre-book a ranger to get the most out of your walking.
If you are planning an ascent, then plan it properly in terms of equipment, maps, victuals and appropriate fitness levels. There is an accompanying mobile app for Ben Lomond from the NTS.
